Version 11 and 11.5 backing up to a V11 managment server

Hi

We have a customer with a virtual server running v11 and a server running v11.5 backing up to a management server (which is also the licence server) running v11. They have a licence for 11.5 and a licence for 11.

The v11.5 machine has the correct licence installed and runs fine.

The v11 machine however does not backup saying there is no licence. We have revoked and reissued the licence but again the same problem occurs. Can v11 and v11.5 co-exist backing up to a v11.5 managment server?

You have mentioned different versions of management server - 11 and 11.5 within your post. Anyway, the supported configuration is to have centralized components of version 11.5 and agents can be of other version - 11.5 , 11 and 10. As you have added 11.5 licence to the license server, I assume that it is of version 11.5, in this case there should not be any problems.

Hi

Sorry no, we have one 11.5 management sever.

We have a v11 virtual machine and licence and a v11.5 machine and licence. V11.5 works but v11 does not with the following error:

Well, it's not version 11 machine's error, it's the one of version 11.5 . See:

disk_bundle_vs_32256
Message: There is no license required for the following functionality: 'FEATURE_ABR_VIRTUAL_AGENT_HV'.

32256 is the build number and it's of version 11.5 . Apparently you upgraded both hosts and as you have only one 11.5 license one of them is missing an 11.5 license.
