Windows agent unable to update to build 43994

Thread needs solution

OS W10:10162 and 10240

Previous AB11.5 build 43956

Every time I reach the update for Windows Agent, it rollsback with the message that the 'Service cannot be started' due to no enabled devices.

I've tried uninstalling the previous agent, emptying the temp folder, using the extracted Windows Agent, but I just can't get the agent to install.

Additional information, I get the same error box when trying to install the console as well.

UPDATE: I have now uninstalled AB11.5 completely, rebooted and now I can't install Agent Core either - it tells me it can not create Agent 12 user.

I can't find a log file for this iteration of attempted install, but I've attached an earlier failure from today.

I should add, I've got DD12:3223 installed on this PC. Could this be causing the install problem? It is certainly struggling trying to find installed disks, so perhaps there is a conflict.

Hello Colin,

We used to have problem like this when the installation file was launched from the root C:\ partition but this was fixed at least a couple releases ago.

That said, it just might be related to your Disk Director 12 installation. Could you clarify which Acronis services are currently running on this system and their "Log on as" users?

Thank you!
