XenServer 6.1 How-to

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have an Citrix XenServer 6.1 Virtual host with tree Windows Server 2012 VMs.
How do I have to backup theese machiches with Acronis backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition for Citrix?
Is there an agent which I have to install on the host or on the VMs or do I have to install the complete program on every vm to backup it like physical machines?

Hello Frohn Benjamin,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum.

At Citrix Xen Server environments, you have to install the Acronis agent into the client operating systems. Unfortunately, the current build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 does not support Windows Server 2012. Please check out this article from time to time, in order to get the latest update on this information.

Windows Server 2012 support will be added in one of the next officially released updates of Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5.

If you need additional assistance, you can contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Thank you for answering.
Can you suggest, how long it will take, to release a B&R version, which supports Windows Server 2012?
