Backups not running
Hi,
We setup the solution on a Windows 2012 Server to backup our VMs on a single ESXi using the trial version.
Now that we have purchased a licence all backups fail with the errors

Hi Raphael,
Thanks for the reply. I have done this, but still get the same error :( All was working when we had the trial licence.
Do you have any other ideas ? Can I get some more detailed logs ?

Hi Ashley,
the version string in your error message shows build #3500 (highlighted in quote). Please make sure to update all components, if you are using the web-installer please also re-download it from your account.
However it seems to be a long time the Management Server wasn't connected to the Appliance/Agent. You can remove the connection to the Appliance/Agent in Settings -> Agents and reconnect using Devices -> Add. You backups and backup plans will be kept.
Thanks!

Hi,
The Agent is running as a VM guest on the ESXi. What is the procedure to update this ?

Are you running a Windows OS with Agent installed or the Appliance?
The Agent can be updated like the Management Server (ship install sources and update manually).
The only known way to update the Appliance (within 12.xx) is to redeploy. (Correct me if I am wrong and there is another way to perform this type of updates.)

Hi,
Thanks for the help. I had to deply the OVF manually as the web based interface did not complete. It created the VM, but failed at the end. Perhaps this is because I do not use a DHCP server on the network.
After I configured the Agent it was detected and listed on the MC. Running an existing plan did not work, but when I added a new backup plan, this was successfully completed. Perhaps this was only the problem.

I'm having the same problem. I tried re-running the update software build 12.0.3602, to just update the Acronis Agent for VMware Virtual Appliance. That did not update the Acronis VM Appliance. I deleted the Acronis VM Appliance, hoping the update software would re-add it. It did not. Where did you get the OVF from?

Hi Philip,
the OVF is included in the AB12 Install bundle. If you have installed the "Agent for VMWare (Appliance)" you can find the OVF in in default path: C:\Program Files\Acronis\ESXAppliance\.
Thanks!
