How to do partial recovery of cloud backup from different computer

Thread needs solution

So we just started using Acronis 12 on a Windows 2012 server. It seems to be working great so far, but there is one thing I have not figured out. What if my server that is being backed up is non-bootable and I need quick access to some of the files that are backed up? I spoke with support and he told me all sorts of stuff about bootable media and so forth, but I don't think he ever actually answered my question.

When I login to the Acronis web site from another computer, I don't see any lnks to view or recover existing backups. I see all sorts of stuff about subscriptions and licences, etc., but nothing about restoring files. Is there a way to do a partial restore from the cloud from the web site?

I installed Acronis using the local management interface, rather than the cloud. Does this make any difference?

Thanks

Hi Salil,

If the backups are located in cloud then you can access them from Acronis Backup 12 interface (it can be installed anywhere - not necessarily on the original machine) from "Backups" section: Browse->Cloud Storage->provide your Acronis Cloud account credentials.

If you saved your backups locally, then you can use the Windows Explorer extension installed along with Acronis Backup 12 to browse through the actual .tib files, e.g. open the backups location (for example on \\server\share) and double-click the .tib files - then copy some data from them.

In other words you need to have Acronis Backup 12 installed at least somewhere in order to recover from cloud backups. Browsing of Acronis Backup 12 archives located in Acronis Cloud directly from web portal is not yet supported (planned for future updates when we complete migration of the web portal to new engine).

Thank you.

Thanks for the help. When I go to https://backup.acronis.com/ and attempt to login with my Acronis account, it says "No account exists within this login."

Can you provide a link to install the cloud interface on anotherPC?

Thanks

Seriously??  What specifically is Acronis Backup 12???  IT is hard to tell specifically what I should download on the non-backed-up computer.  Did you mean Acronis True Image 2017, Acronis Disk Director 12, or what?  It would be helpful to know specifically which executable should be downloaded, and it would be even more helpful if you provided a link.  Thanks.
