Hyper-V Server/virtual host Remove references to backups that no longer exist?

Thread needs solution

I am an acronis partner and reseller, I am running a Hyper-V server with 2 virtual machines and testing Acronis Backup 12 for virtual hosts. Using my personal email address I first installed a trial version with which there was an included 1TB cloud storage for the 30 day trial period. I backed up originally to an internal drive and replicated to the included cloud storage. Everything was working fine. I then realized as a partner I could take advantage of an NFR license for internal use so under my business email address I registered my NFR license and revoked the trial.

The problem I have now is two fold. Both the cloud storage from the trial is no longer accessible and the internal drive has been inadvertently reformatted. Now it appears I can find no way to remove reference to the backups that were once contained there for this machine. I have removed the backup plans but the recover option still exists and shows recovery points as existing in both of these now inaccessible locations. If I try to delete them anyway I receive an error and the references to them remain.

I do not care about the backups themselves as this is only a test machine and they were encrypted but how can I cleanly remove all references to any previous backups for a given machine in this scenario?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,

The easiest way to cleanup all references to backups should be a reinstall of AB12 (Management Server). When remove using the Control Panel choose "Remove Settings" in the Uninstaller-Dialog.

Paul,

It makes sense to contact our support team for assistance with the issue. The solution will depend on how exactly the product was set up - was "cloud" (http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12/ind… ) or "on-premise" deployment mode used. Plus it's not completely clear which exact old references are left from the trial, so likely we'll need to get more details (logs/screen shots) in order to advise.

P.S. The way suggested by Raphael would be not too elegant but would also work.

Thank you.
