Restore using bootable CD media - keeps failing

Thread needs solution

Has anyone managed to get recover a PC with Acronis Backup 12 Bootable Media?

I have a workstation which I have had to replace the hard drive in. I have tried for a week now to restore the backup, to no avail.

I am using the latest version of Backup 12, which I uninstalled and re-installed to ensure that everything was OK.

The backup succeeded, yet will not restore. I have tried to restore the entire PC, and it fails every time.

The PC being restored is a 64Bit Windows 10 PC with a SATA hard disk. It has an MBR and 3 primary partitions: Recovery, System and Windows 10.

The restore runs for an hour and seems to copy all the data. However it fails at the end and the PC will not boot.

I have tried booting back into the Recovery Media and using the Disk Explorer, but this crashes, leading me to believe that Acronis recovery is not creating the partition tables correctly on my replacement hard disk.

I have tried customer support, but so far thay have been useless.

Any help would be appreciated.
