Acronis 12 vs Acronis 11 - TERRIBLE
this feels like a home user program. This is really terrrible. I can no longer set up bi-monthly fulls.
The guy does not make it easy to see all your backup plans easily. This is just horrible.

Hi,
The backup plans management interface is planned to be added this year along with Acronis Backup 12 Advanced release (internal feature ID: ABR-57835) - this feature will be also inherited by Acronis Backup 12 (non-Advanced). We're planning to start the Beta campaign for Acronis Backup 12 Advanced in Q1-Q2 2017.
Thank you.

I think this product is irrepairable.
It would be easier to reprogram it from scratch... especilly the GUI.

I agree ..... if they will not fix the product at least to the state where version 11 is than we will migrate off AB 12. So far AB 12 is piece of buggy, unreliable and hard to use software.

Problably, but there are lots of things that they can do, for example:
- Remove the stupid sidebar, and give the right space to options menu.
- Implement automatic login, via active directory or in any other way
- Fix regional settings format, datetime, etc...
- Better integration, update notifications and a link to launch acronis media builder
- Better file explorer, add capability to create folders and search files
- Add again missing features that are available in Acronis 11 Backup (NON avdanced), for example: full disk backup (non partion) and GFS backup...
If they are unable to do these thing in the next major releases then I think most of users leave from Acronis for other solution, without await Acronis Backup 13.

I WILL RECOMMAND THE GUYS AT ACRONIS TO HAVE A LOOK AT AN OTHER PRODUCT: [MODERATED].
MAY BE THAT WILL HELP FOR FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS.
SO FAR IT SEEMS THE GUYS AT [MODERATED] STUDIED BACKUP12 IN ORDER TO LEARN WHAT THEY SHOULD NOT DO.

1. Thank you all for sharing your feedback and ideas.
2. For any product usability problems, we are very interested in understanding the pain. If you are interested in spending 1 hour on a WebEx with Acronis team (in Engflish) to share your usability problems with Backup 12, please drop me a personal message or send email to andrey.polevoy@acronis.com.
3. Finally, please remember that Acronis Backup 12 is a next version for Acronis Backup 11.7 (non-Advanced/standalone), and as such it is designed to protect and manage hosts one-by-one. Bulk protection and management is an Advanced feature and is coming in Acronis Backup 12 Advanced.
PS
Other vendor and product names were removed from the previous post, according to company rules.

Agree with these comments. Acronis 12.5 is a big "downgrade" and step in the wrong direction. The GUI is clunky and slow and they've removed a number of features. Disappointing considering how strong their products have been over the years. We will be looking at other products for all out servers. Sad since we've been loyal. This is an absolute joke and a complete waste of money. Big step backwards. Did I mention it's TERRIBLE?!
