Is Acronis Backup 12.5 compatible with TIB files?

Thread needs solution

Hi

Been using Acronis True Image 2017 to make backups, but we want to be able to back up a lot more desktops. How many PCs can be backed up under a Backup 12.5 license and can it read TIB files from True Image 2017?

Thanks

Peter

Hello Peter!

12.5 works with True Image 2017 backups. Have a look at this KB for compatibility: https://kb.acronis.com/tib

Each 12.5 licence allows you to protect one device. I can't find the technical maximum number of agents at the moment, but it's over 1000 (as found here)

Hello Peter,

welcome to Acronis forums!

As Péter has correctly answered above, Acronis Backup 12.5 should not have any troubles recovering Acronis True Image 2017 backups. However, we recommend that you test a trial version e.g. by creating Acronis Bootable Media for recovering true image backups purposes.

According to Acronis licensing policy, 1 license of Acronis Backup 12.5 Workstation can be used per one machine (Windows desktop operating systems, OS X), physical or virtual

Please also read the following KB article for more details on Acronis Backup 12.5 licensing: https://kb.acronis.com/content/59804
