Acronis Management Server (web console) not showing domain(users)
Hi,
I've recently installed Acronis 12.5 on a linux machine to keep the management server lightweight but unfortunatelly I ran into some problems... or let's say I was missing some features like user management (domain users) or remote agent installation. After some weeks I decided to reinstall the whole system on a Windows machine to get the desired features. I did a clean install of Win10 and joined our domain. Afterwards I've installed the backup agent, monitoring service and management server.
Here is the problem:
After logging into the web console I wanted to add some administrators. But unfortunatelly I was could not add any of the users I was looking for. I have a domain dropdown menu which shows "backupserver" (name of the local machine) instead of our domain (company.com). I've managed to add a user by adding the user on the local machine and set his group to "Acronis Centralized Admins". I can afterwards log in with this account but that's not the feature I was looking for. Did I miss something?
Best Regards,
Dominik / Sven

Thanks.
Just for clarification: I want to manage a few systems/server (~ 50). But before buying more licenses I need the problem to be solved.
Best Regards,
Dominik

Hello Dominik,
Welcome to Acronis forums! Did you follow instructions from https://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12.5/index.html#39322.html ?
If the management server is not included in an Active Directory domain or is installed in Linux, only local users can be added.
I've also found a known issue (internal ID for ref ABR-221170) marked as resolved in the latest Update 4, where domain machine was not displayed in the "Domain" field and thus adding domain users as administrators was not possible. So, if you are using the latest build and Acronis Management Server is installed on the machine which belongs to a domain, I'd open a support ticket for investigation.
