After reinstalling OS, Office 365 Backups fails due to license issues

Thread needs solution

Hello altogether!

I have a support case open for this issue, but still nothing new from Acronis Support since 2 weeks. So maybe anyone here has an idea.

I backed up Office 365 Mailboxes for one customer on a "temporary Backup Server" which worked like a charm. Due to a Hardware Upgrade, we had to reinstall the OS of the Backup Server. After installing the Acronis 12.5 Backup Console an installing the licenses, I cannot back up the Office 365 Mailboxes anymore. When I want to assign the O365 licenses via "Settings -> Licenses -> Assign Licenses" I get a "bad request" Error Message. No license is assigned.

When creating a Backup Job fpr O365 and starting it, the licenses will be assigned automaticly, but the backup failes because of "insufficient licenses". No matter if I backup 1 or 15 mailboxes. Same error.

I reinstalled both Acronis 12.5 and the OS, the error remains. It really starts to pxxs me off, because the customer pays for a SUBSCRIPTION which is useless for nearly a month now.

I have no idea, neither has acronis support. I uploaded logs, system reports, network sniffing logs, perfmon logs.... etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Reini,

This isn't a complaint we've seen before and there is currently no ready solution. We've asked a developer to look at this issue and provide some advice.

Hello Reini,

please check your private messages.

Hello and thanks @Alexander Vasin for your help.

Seems to be a bug when trying to backup to a Storage Node. I changed location to Network Share and it works.

Took two days to solve it, Acronis Support has no answer since weeks.

Best whishes!

Christoph
