Audit / Other Log location

Thread needs solution

Does ABA 12.5 management server keep log files anywhere that I can refer to? I know there are the activities tab for devices but I need more from the server side. I miss the old logs from v11.x.

I'm asking because I am not the only one with admin access to my Acronis 12.5 environment and I lost a backup plan recently and I'm trying to determine if that was done by one of the other admins or if Acronis itself had a problem and lost the plan.

JFYI, we are working on improving the user logs in Acronis Backup 12.5 and this is a big priority. The new scalable architecture means that logging had to be completely reworked during development and it is now more difficult to properly show in the UI (especially when you consider things like units where one user of the console shouldn't see the logs of other users etc.).

For now, all the logs are available in the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\[ServiceName] folders. I suggest starting with the following for the information you are searching for:

  • C:\ProgramData\Acronis\PolicyManager\Logs
  • C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TaskManager\Logs
