Backup Failed. Bizarre error.

Thread needs solution

Good afternoon, I am having a strange issue on my Exchange server when running backups, both Full Server and Exchange database.

All other backups work and the Exchange server is in actual fact our primary management server for Acronis.   I am still on version 12 and not 12.5 but thats not the issue here as this has only just started happening.

The error message reads.

Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client received an HTTP server error status (500), but the remote service did not include any other information about the cause of the failure. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

Now, this did happen a few weeks back but after a server reboot it ran OK for a while. I've tried stopping and starting various services that could be related but no luck. I've also run a WINRM QUICKCONFIG. Have you ever seen this before? I can send full logs if required.

Thank you for your posting! I've found a discussion, where another user was able to resolve the issue. Please take a look at the suggested solution. In addition to that, I'd recommend checking if  Acronis Remote Agent Service and Acronis Scheduler2 Service are running under Local System account.
