backup vm with NFS source
Hi,
I installed Acronis 12.5 on a Windows server and deployed the Virtual Appliance in a ESX.
VM are located in a NFS datastore, connected to esx with a dedicated vmkernel port, net 10.10.0.0/8.
VM network is 192.168.0.0/24
Acronis virtual appliance has only a network card with ip 192.168.0.x
To backup the vm, do I have to configure in the virtual appliance an additional eth with same network of NFS?
Thanks

Hi,
Please see http://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/acronis-backup-125-backups-errors-you-do-not-have-access-rights-file thread where the same problem was discussed.
In short: check for VDDK-related messages above in the log file for name resolution issues and configure DNS settings on appliance, so that it can properly resolve the DNS name of ESXi host to IP address.
Thank you.

I check dns resolution of esx hostname and it is ok.
I I download the activity log in the actity_log.txt there is this:

The log doesn't seem complete ;( There should be more events in the log file including the VDDK-related events which would show why disks cannot be opened through VMware VDDK.
To check these additional events you can "Collect system information" from the agent used for backup (click on backed up VM->Activities->Collect system information). In the captured .zip file check the \ServiceProcess\ folder which would contain full backup logs - check the last ones by date.
If there is no clear indication of what's broken (unclear VDDK messages), then the problem should be investigated with help from our support team by enabling extended VDDK logs (enabling these logs is not a trivial operation, so it should be performed with assistance from our support engineers).
Thank you.

Thanks Vasily,
I found that there was an error in DNS record for one host...the server with acronis have records saved in the hosts file...
Thanks for your support!!!
