backups to disk + replication to tape setup?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

we backup VMs from several HyperV-hosts to a dedicated backup server running Acronis Backup 12.5 Advanced (update 1).

Jobs are configured to backup from HyperV-agents to local disk folder on backup server (incremental backups).

This works good.

Now we want to copy/replicate these local backups to a tape drive attached to the backup server.

The tape should be changed daily by hand.

The 1st replication to tape went fine (after applying new archive3.dll fix posted in this forum).

But now every further replication task to an empty tape fails.

It seems as Acronis tries to find the previous backup on the new tape.

message: "Internal error: Cannot append new incremental or differental backup to deleted previous backup. This may cause data loss"

I configured the task to replicate all backups to tape.

How can we replicate a full backup to different tapes every day?

Regards

Dennis

Hello, Denis.

Can you attach here full error text?

This error may appear only if we replicating incremental or differential backup and previous backup marked as deleted. If we replicating full backup then no such error should appear.

Can you please describe your case. Attach here sreenshot with backups of archive on tapes with expanded backups. There should be visible deleteion marks.. And also screenshhot of archive on a source location with expanded backups.
