Bootable Media Builder - Remote Logon feature

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I would like to find out what the remote logon option is used for in the Bootable Media Builder is used for?

How does one remotely connect to the Bootable Agent?

If anyone could assist me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

The "remote logon" option which you see in Acronis Bootable Media Builder interface is intended to be used when you want to manage bootable media via command line utility (acrocmd) which requires login credentials. Other than that you don't need this option in order to manage bootable media remotely - all you need to set up is to register media on the management server ("Common settings->Management server" on the same step of Media Builder wizard) - after that the machine will appear in Devices->Bootable media section and you will be able to perform backup and recovery operations via web console interface of Acronis Backup 12.5.

Thank you.
