Bootable Media does not boot on Hyper-V

Thread needs solution

Hello,

In my company we use Acronis Backup Standard 12.5.14330. My Hyper-V machine's virtual hard drive got destroyed, so I want to recover from the daily backup made within the virtual OS. From the Acronis Server Web-UI I downloaded the "Boot_media.iso". I added this file as boot drive in my Hyper-V machine (Gen 2 - UEFI) and when starting the virtual computer, the DVD is not recognized and not booted from.

Hyper-V Host: Windows 10 Pro 1903

Hello Philipp,

welcome to Acronis forums!

Please check if the option to switch-off the DVD when booting your Hyper-V VM is disabled.

If this VM still can't be booted from DVD, please set it to boot from Acronis PXE Server.

Update:

Please also select Microsoft UEFI Certificate Authority in Secure Boot setting in Hyper-V Manager
