Bug in Acronis Backup 12.5 build 14330 Backup Plan creation process

Thread solved

Hi,

we´v found a bug in the backup plan creation process. When you select Version 11 as file Format and change other options after that, the file format gets reverted to automatic. You have to edit the backup plan twice and as last step before saving, you have to change it to version 11 file format.

Strange is, that it seems to ignore the standard settings in the system settings to. Because there i´ve selected v11 as standard file format too.

I have tried it about two dozen times with different settings and each time with the same result. Only the above mentioned way works.

Greetings
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

I've tried to reproduce your case without any success: created a new backup plan, selected Version 11 backup format, switched to other backup options and played with them, get back to backup format - it was Version 11; saved changes, edited this backup plan and again opened backup format tab - it was still Version 11.

Please note that you can specify a backup format only for a new backup plan: you are unable to change it when editing the existing backup plan.

Please also pay attention to Default backup options in Settings -> System settings: a new backup plan is created with these options.

If you still experience this issue, please Export this backup plan and share it here with us.

Hi Maria,

I could solve it. I´ve changed the file format in the default backup settings from 11 to auto, saved and then changed it back to 11 and saved again. Now every new created backup plan keeps the file format I choose and don´t switches to auto. Strange, but works.

Greetings

Andreas
