Cannot create a backup plan to a network share

Thread needs solution

Hello together,

every time when i try to make a backup plan to a network share or storage node, i have the same failure.

"TOL: Failed to execute the command. Backup::Assistant::Commands::CreatePlan

Windows-Fehler: (0x80070002) Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden

You can see the details on the picture. I have tried it about \\IP-Adress\Share also about \\Servername\Share, with all Domain Administrator priviliegies. The agent and all Acronis services has Domain Administrator priviliegies. Does have anyone an idea ? The version ist Acronis Backup 12.5 newest.

I´ve forgotten, it is vmware with acronis appliance, and a vm(server2008) with acronis management.

Can you collect system information from machine where backup is failing and send me as private message?

To collect system information select machine, open "Activites" on the right action bar and click "Collect system information" link on the bottom.

i have exact the same problem on one onf my machines.

The differnece to th OP is that the affected computer is a LAN share.

Can you send me a PM with info how to upload the file (20 MB)?

Looks like there was an issue during AMS upgrade. Can you collect system information from the Acronis Management Server? This will allow us to find the root cause of the issue.

 

To workaround your issue do the following:

  • download "preffered" file from the FTP server that you used to upload sysinfo
  • copy it to " C:\ProgramData\Acronis\AMS\AccessVault\config"
  • restart AMS using commands:
    • net stop ams
    • net start ams

This problem comes only, if i try to save on a network share or storage node.

Is that normal, that Acronis 12.5 have so much problems? I know you will help, but that everything is very frustrating, I put so much time to this project, and my customer never pay my work.

I hope you have asap a working solution.

Hello Ramil,

in my frustation, i have delete/reinstall everything, all vm´s with Acornis and the appliance. Now everything is working. The only difference between last installation is, that i´ve installed the appliance directly to the esxi host, not to the vcenter.

Looks like we need to collect system information from the machine where error occurred and upload it to FTP?

Also, can you create support ticket for this problem ? Thus, tracking of this issue will be easier.
