Cannot deploy Acronis 12.5 Agent for VMware to VMWare 6.5 hosts

Thread needs solution

As the title says, in my VMWare 6.5 environment with vcenter 6.5, each time I try to deploy the AcronisESXAppliancen to a host, it fails. I'm using the latest Acronis build (12.5u1, 7641).

The service account has admin permissions on the vCenter/hosts and it creates the guest/appliance, powers it on then deletes it apparently after something fails.

Is there any log file I can review or enable verbose logging to try and determine the cause? Has anyone successfully deployed a 12.5 7641 Appliance to a VMWare 6.5 (6.5.0, 4564106) host?

Thanks

Pete

I was successful in deploying the OVF template to a 6.5 host but this is not ideal as I have a lot of hosts to roll out the client and entering in the appliance and ABA server name is going to get tiresome fast.

Thx

Yesterday I had better success clicking on Devices->Add->Virtualization hosts->VMWare ESXi->Remotely install on a machine running Windows, added the IP address of the vCenter server. A

Acronis installed a Windows Agent to my Windows Server 2012 vCenter server and discovered all of my guests and hosts properly.

IMO the GUI should be changed to specifically state "Add vCenter Server" and Acronis should interrogate the vCenter for whether it is on windows, linux etc and deploy the appropriate agent.
