Cannot migrate backups in the Cloud..

Thread needs solution

Hi,

we updated to latest Acronis Backup 12 and when trying to backup to Cloud Storage we get an error that (old?) data in Cloud cannot be migrated and we should contact support about this!

Pleasee see attached screenshot.

How to fix this? We really dont need the old backups in the cloud anymore, but we also dont find a way to 'reset' or 're-init' cloud storage!

Any pointers are welcome.

Thanks.

PS: Reaching support seems so complicated. Why isn't there just a single link to form where we can enter our issue?

Hi Achim,

Have you already tried to migrate the backups manually? 57721: Upgrade to Acronis Backup 12 section Upgrading Acronis Cloud Storage

After successful migration it should be possible to remove the backups from Cloud Storage.

Otherwise you should contact Acronis Support via Technical issue -> Using full version (Login) and select the appropriate product.

Hi,

thanks for some pointers. I tried to use "migrate_archives" with this result:

I also opened a support ticket yesterday, but response time is now > 24h which is really bad!

Hi,

i had the same error after upgrading to 12.5 Advanced. Did you received a solution from Support?

Hello Toni,

thank you for your posting! In the first case, the issue has been workarounded through deletion of old backups from the Cloud storage. Prior all other steps, I'd recommend you doing a manual migration as described in 57721: Upgrade to Acronis Backup 12.5 section Upgrading Acronis Cloud Storage.

If manual migration also fails, please contact Acronis support team, so that our engineers can take a look at the situation.

Hi,

recreating the Backup is NOT a solution for me. I would take weeks to upload it again!!
I have a support ticket, but KB 57721 is not working at all.

I have the same problem. Cannot backup to cloud after upgrading. I've had a ticket on this since June 4th. Still nothing has been resolved. I was asked to wait a while longer until they can figure it out.

this is still an issue, getting the run around from support!
