CleanUp Utility for 12.5?

Thread needs solution

Hi,
the update-installation of the new build 12.5.8610 (on a Windows-Server 2008 R2) ended up with a error (backup agent cannot be registered). In tried a repair installation twice and had no success. So i decided to unistall the complete software and reinistall it. But - i cannot find a cleanup ulititly for version 12.5 (only for older versions).

Where can i download this utility?

Thanks

Hello Forellenblau,

We just updated the KB with a new version of the tool for 12.5:

https://kb.acronis.com/content/35521

Thank you!

Is it possible to use this utility to clean up activities and alarms from the DBs?

I've done a fresh install of 8690 and would like to remove old entries to start with a 'clean slate'.

I'm using MS SQL but it looks like it is also saving things elsewhere.

TIA

Hello Javier,

The data is saved to C:/Programdata/Acronis and also the MS SQL database. If the database is external, the cleanup tool will not remove the data from the corresponding instance.

Please note that some data can also be synced back from agents even if the Management server is newly installed.

I'm still having issues so I'm think of restarting all over. As I'm using Hyper-V version and 5 VMs, if I delete the MS SQL DBs, uninstall the app on the host and then all the agents on the VMs, delete "C:\ProgramData\Acronis" and "C:\Program Files\Acronis" is there any other thing I need to do to make sure I can do a true clean install?

TIA

Hi Igor,

I just downloaded the cleanup tool and tried it on my Client, but I got an Error-Message in the cmdline.
The message is in german, so I try to translate it:

"The version of cleanup_tool.exe is not compatible with the running Windows-version. Check if 32bit or a 64bit Version is needed ..."

My System is a Win7 32bit, do you have a link to a 32bit version of cleanup_tool or isn't it running on Win7?

With kind regards
Sigi

Hello Siegfried,

The tool will work on Windows 7.

I am looking into a 32-bit version of the tool.

Thank you!

Hello again Siegfried,

This is a mistake in the KB on our part. We will add the 32-bit version to the KB article.

In the meantime, please find it here: https://access.acronis.com/t/4hc6upb9

Thank you.

Hello Igor,

today I'm back from Holiday, but now your provided link isn't valid anymore. Please upload the tool again for downloading.

Many thanks
Sigi
