Complete cataloging respective on the LTO3 tapes possible?

Thread needs solution

Hello, we use LTO3 and change the tapes daily. Is it possible to store the data for the complete cataloging (for file restoration) on the respective LTO3 tapes?
Currently, this data is always stored on the hard disk of the AMS under TapeLocation.
Since every now and then the data becomes corrupt, everything has to be deleted and we lose the entire data catalog. This is very unpleasant.
So my question, whether the data catalog can always be written to the LTO3 tapes of the running backup? And with every day changing bands?
Thank you.

Hi,

In the current architecture it's not possible to store the contents of the TapeLocation on tapes. We've documented your posting as a feature request. BTW you can use junction point to change the TapeLocation folder, however if the data on your hard drive is constantly getting corrupted, I'd try to find the reason for corruption as this may indicate more serious issues.
