Disk/volume backup keeps failing

Thread needs solution

Hello,

The disk/volume weekly backup keeps failing, with the error that it cannot find a file specified. Please find attached the log file, it looks like it is trying to use a K drive, but we do not have a K drive. The backup was working okay until a fortnight ago.

k:\...  is path of source code file. Archive file that it tries to open is this:

F:\NewDC.jgc.local-D574C4B8-959A-42B2-AA61-C2B972BEBD37-DF4CBB51-1FEA-469F-9DFC-996654B19F6FA.tibx

Hello Naver,

welcome to Acronis forums!

Please don't be puzzled about K drive, this is a kind of internal code. The disk in question, according to your log, is F:

path: F:\NewDC.jgc.local-D574C4B8-959A-42B2-AA61-C2B972BEBD37-DF4CBB51-1FEA-469F-9DFC-996654B19F6FA.tibx

The most common reason of this error is when the device, where backups are physically stored, is powered off, not connected, hung up or does not provide access to the directory with backups due to any other reason.

If everything with this disk connection is OK but you still receive the error, please collect Process Monitor logs while reproducing the issue, then collect system information  and contact Acronis Support Team for investigation.
