Domain Problem

I installed a Acronis Backup 12.5 Testversion on a server which was domain member. Everything was working ok.

Now I installed Backup 12.5 on a new Backup VM (Win2012R2) under esxi 6.5 which should be the final version.

This Backup server is not member of the domain and it should not be a member. Reason: If my domain server fails, maybe its not possible to restore or backup ??

So now if I try to add a new device, I got a message that the server is not in the same domain or I should disable UAC on the new devices, which I dont want. For installing  I used the domain admin, but this seems to be not enough.

Is this realy the only way ? UAC or domain member ??

If domain member, what if DC is offline due a hardware crash and I hve to restore ?

All my Servers I have to backup are Citrix VM on one host
