Failed to connect to AMS

Thread needs solution

Hi.

We're in the first phases of creating a global AMS.

We're finding a problem while trying to install the Acronis agent in a remote computer. We run the agent installation locally in this remote machine and in the step to specify the AMS and the user which will be used to do the connection, we receive the following error:

Does anybody know what could be happening?

Thanks in advance.

PS: By the way, connection between machine and server is OK

Hi,

This error may appear because the credentials specified for connection to AMS are for a user account which is not member of Acronis Centralized Admins group on the AMS machine. OR when you try to install the agent into some unit (Settings->Administrators->some child unit under "Organization") which doesn't have administrators defined for it. In other words you should check the user which you use to connect to AMS from the installer UI.

Thank you.

Hi Vasily,

thank you so much for your answer, I will do my testings and come back with an answer :)

Best regards.

Hi again, sorry for the delay answering but was in other projects.

We've moved to build 7641 and after succesfully installing the AMS we had the same problem as before but with different error:

"Failed to connect to the machine. Error "HTTP transfer error"

Verified that the user was in all the admin groups he had to be and still no success, removed the user from all the groups and then added again but only to the AMS Server Administrators group and it worked... But the user is not in any other group different than the Administrators group, if I add it to the Acronis Administrator Group I cannot use that user to add remote machines to the AMS.

Hope this helps anybody with the same problem :)
