How to create incremental backup with acronis 12.5

Thread solved

Hi,

all is in the title, I don't have options to create full or incremental backup when using a backup plan and selecting only some directories/files to be backuped.

I have a trial infrastructure to test the product in an environnement, and really want to test this function before purchase licences.

thx

Hello Frederic!

It's working for me. I've attached some screenshots of a test plan where I selected 2 machines with different files to backup and can still set the full/incremental backup schemes.

Can you share a screenshot where you have these options missing?

EDIT:

I've checked this with version 11 archive format. However meanwhile I've noticed if you select version 12 format, the default backup scheme will be always incremental, which you can't change after saving the backup plan. If you change the scheme to something else before saving the plan you can modify it later.

Hello Frederic,

thank you for posting this question on Acronis forums!

Please select a respective backup scheme (e.g. Weekly full, Daily incremental) in Schedule section when you create a backup plan.

I advise that you refer to the following table where all available backup schemes are listed (please refer to Files (physical machines only) row) https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12.5/index.html#37328.html
