How to delete old backup locations from backup tab/view?
Hello,
after we've upgraded from Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 to Acronis Backup Adcanced 12.5 in the backup tab / view there are some old tape pools. We created all new in 12.5 and don't need them anymore. But when I select them there is only the possibility to add, not to delete - because of that these are version 11 pools?
How can i delete these backup locations?
Many thanks,
Erik

Hi Andrey,
thanks for your answer - the solution you described is the problem. Let me explain this with some screenshots:
Above you can see our current tape pool configuration; all standard except "Woche" which means "week" for weekly tape backups. All these pools are fresh created from upgrade installation or myself.
Here you can see the storage locations - and this is the problem: All pools named "Band ..." are migrated from version 11.7 and not listed at tape pool configuration. So there is currently no way to delete them - if I try to open or configure them I get the message
Any idea?
Many thanks,
Erik

I have exactly the same problem after upgrading from 11.7 to 12.5.
Could you find a way to delete the old pools?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi Erik,
I contacted the Acronis Support and they send me the instructions how to delete the orphaned Pools:
- Sie müssen zuerst den Speicherort wählen und auf "Alle Eigenschaften" klicken.
- Dann notieren Sie bitte die ID des Speicherortes.
- Stoppen den Dienst Acronis Storage Node
- Öffnen 2 Ordner:
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\ASN\meta
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\ASN\VaultMetadataDatabases
- Löschen die entsprechenden Dateien mit dem selben GUID
- Starten den Dienst Acronis Storage Node
According to your name I guess you understand German?
Otherwise I will translate the steps for you.
Hopefully this will fix your issue too.
