How to prevent corrupted archive due to "disk full"?

Thread needs solution

Recently upgraded from "Backup and Recovery 11.5" to "Backup 12.5 (Advanced)".

While still using 11.5 one of our users inadvertently created a plan that ran a full backup daily and all were being sent to the Managed Archive on the server. The end result was a full disk and a corrupted archive. I have not found any methods for recovering the archive.

We are currently switching to a new server and upgrading all of our machines to 12.5. I have searched the User Guide as well as here for any methods that would allow us to prevent this from happening again but so far I have not seen anything.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello Don,

The situation with archives you are describing was probably the result of a known issue of meta data corruption in such cases (according to our database). The fix for this issue was implemented in the version 11.7 Update1 HF4. It is the latest build of Acronis Backup 11.7 at the moment.

As for Acronis Backup 12.5 this issue also should not persist there. If you see that the same issue ocurrs in Acronis Backup 12.5 you could contact our Support Team so we can investigate the problem.

Hello Dariya,

Thanks for the information. As we transition to 12.5 that is reassuring.

Kindest regards,
