Incorrect Backup Replication File Saved to Drive

Thread solved

Info:

I have backup plans configured to save data to the centralized vault. I also have replication plans configured to make a copy of last backup in the vault to an external drive.

Problem:

I have machine A and Machine B backup plans and replication plans configured. However, when the replication plan of machine B runs, I can see the backup of machine A being replicated to the external drive.

Actions Taken:

I have deleted backup plans, replication plans, as well as backup sets from the centralized vault. I have also removed and re-installed client agents for a fresh start. I still see machine A being replicated to drive when the machine B's replication plan runs. This only happens with these two machines.

Hello FG!

I had a somewhat similar issue not long ago (here, and the related KB  here), where two computers were constantly mixed up. In my case I couldn't even register these machines at the same time, but it's worth a try to see if it solves this issue as well.

In short acronis seems to store the machine identifier on the backed up machine in registry and if for whatever reason two computers share this same key you'll have all sort of chaos with the conflicting machines.

Thanks Peter!

Removing registry keys and re-installing BK agent solved the issue.

I appreciate the help!
