try booting the machine with no network cable attached, then install it and then it should work (you can re-attach the network cable) until the next reboot with network cable attached
update 1:
just removing the dns servers of the network connection is enough

found the culprit:
the group management behind the administrators setting is the culprit.
If only machine local admins are entered, the web interface will work with the exception of this part (ERROR GroupManagement.30).
If there is a network connection to the domain servers during the setup, a domain admin/user will automatically be added to the administrators which leads to the bad gateway at the end and no successful registration of the agents...

Hi Gerhard,
The group management is a part of the functionality responsible for restricting operations over specific devices where such division is performed via registering these devices (machines) under different "units" which can be created under Settings->Administrators after initial installation of Acronis Backup, but there is no "netbios" dependency here. From your description it's still unclear what exactly happens - where do you specify the accounts (local + domain ones), e.g. for which parts of the installation they are used, and how the machine is set up (joined or not to domain, which account is logged into it during installation) so I'm unfortunately unsure how to comment here and whether the observed behavior is a bug or not.

Problem was within the acronis_authn.dll and was corrected by the support/development team.
The next version will include the fix.

I installed 12.5 104280 this is the latest. Same result

thanks for posting on Acronis forums!
As Vasily mentioned above, it is hard to find the root of the issue without checking the installation log.
First of all, please make sure that the AMS console can be launched. If it does not start, please check if Acronis Management Server service is running ManagementServer.exe.
If everything is OK with AMS but the error persists, in order to work around this issue please add these components manually:
- Acronis Agent https://kb.acronis.com/content/59828
- Acronis Storage Node https://kb.acronis.com/content/59863
Otherwise, please open a case with Acronis Support Team and provide the engineers with Acronis System Report collected from the machine with AMS along with an installation log.
