Install backup image from boot pxe

Thread needs solution

Hello!

Have 20 computers in my network, and wounder if it is possible to make a image backup of each computer, store that onto a disk. Then if one of the computer crash, I could boot  the new computer with network pxe and choose and install the image which belong to that computer.

If somebody could give me some tips how to do that, I will be happy!!

Regards

Kåre!

Hello Kåre!

Welcome to Acronis forums.

Acronis Backup 12.5 Workstation will suit your requirements (you can read more about its licensing here and differences between Standard and Advanced versions here).

You will need to create a backup plan where you select the source (what to back up) and destination backup location) and other settings and apply this plan to your remote machines.

Then if one of the computer crash, I could boot  the new computer with network pxe and choose and install the image which belong to that computer.

Acronis PXE Server allows for booting machines to Acronis bootable components through the network and start the recovery procedure.

Please also read Acronis Backup 12.5 FAQ about how to back up/restore.
