limitation naming backup location

Thread needs solution

Hi, just wondering if there is any naming limitation for backup location (v12.5.13400). I was trying to rename my backup location in the format <DC location>-<agent-name>-<disk type>, e.g. "DC1 - Agent-02 - Local Disk". But, it always automatically added the host name. (e.g. it became "acronis-agent-05.comwave.net: DC1 - Agent-05 - Local DIsk")

Before we updated to v12.5.13400, we were able to do that.

Hi,

I was able to reproduce the problem with renaming with backup locations which are located on local disks attached to the agent. Apparently there was some logics behind to make it clear which machine the local storage belongs to; since this location cannot be used by other agents for example. Still we are considering this behavior as a bug and will correct it in future updates.

P.S. Renaming of backup locations on network shares or other types of shared storage (Acronis Storage for example) is working properly.

Thank you.
