Manually Deleting Leftover Backup Files

I just upgraded from 11.7 to 12.5 and defined a new plan. Once I have a month or so of backups under the new plan, will I need to delete the old, leftover backup files from my old 11.7 plan? My impression is the the new plan's retention rules apply only to its own backups and will not remove my old 11.7 files, which are taking up a LOT of space. How do I delete those files? Note that both sets of backup files reside in the same "Vault" folder on the same device.

Hi

Because you created a new plan, then you can delete backup files from your old 11.7 plan when these backups are not needed anymore.

How to do it:

  • Go to Backups tab
  • Select the vault
  • select the old 11.7 archive (you can sort the archives by modification date to find old archives)
  • Click Delete button
