Microsoft SQL backup

Thread needs solution

I made a backup plan for all my SQL databases.

The settings are: keep two full backups - see JPG

When I select the exisitings backups I get always three of them and I cannot delet them as well - see JPG

Hi

Can you click to "Schedule" and show us what backup scheme are you using? May be you are using the scheme that allows to create only one full backup (all subsequent backups will be incremental in this case). If it is true then you have one backup chain F+inc+inc, in this case we cannot delete backups inside such backup chain (this is true only for application backups).

You should use backup scheme, that creates periodically full backups. For example, you can use Always-Full backup scheme.
