not all vmware datastore listed when recovering VM

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Environment:

We have multiple VMware hosts at each Vmware clusters (e.g vmhost1, vmhost2 in vmcluster-A) and all vmware hosts have the same access to all FCoE attached Datastores. And, we only have one Acronis Agent Appliance (VM Linux) running at the cluster to serve all acronis backups.

Issue:

I just discover that, when I try to recovery (entire VM) as new VM; then, try to select the vmware datastore. If I select to restore the VM to a VMware host where is not the same host as my Acronis Agent appliance located, (e.g. restore VM to vmhost1 and my Acronis agent is running on vmhost2), then, I don't see any of my FCoE attached datastores

Is there any setting to control this?

Regards,

Aldous

Hello Aldous,

thanks for posting on Acronis forums!

One of the possible cause of this issue could be in DNS if your VM hosts are accessed by hostnames but not by IP addresses (in vCenter).

I strongly recommend that you open a case with Acronis Support Team https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/contact-us/ since this issue requires deeper investigation which could not be provided via this forum.
