Not enough storage

Thread solved

Hi,

My problem is that when I want to back up a computer (called a 2476 PC) I get this message:
"Windows error: (0x80070008) Not enough storage is available to process this command"

The backups are stored on a server. There is plenty of storage space. Other computers also make backups here.
On the 2476 computer, however, there is not enough free space (4gb free space on one partition, 10gb on the other, and 50-60 gb is the entire system)

I think ,that the backup for the 2476 machine will be done first and then the finished .tibx file will be copied to the server.
How do I set it, that save to the server right away?

Would someone describe it step by step?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Károly,

Thank you for your posting! The message likely refers to volume for storing snapshots. There might be not enough free space for Acronis to create temporary files needed to create a snapshot of the data to be backed up. You can check if there is enough space for snapshots using instructions from https://kb.acronis.com/content/31418 The article also explains how to increase or move the shadow storage.

The discussion Failed to index backed-up volume. Windows error: (0x80070008) Not enough storage is available to process this command might be also helpful.

Hello Ekaterina,

Update:

Turning off the Multi-volume snapshot function resolved the issue! :)
Thanks again.

Thank you for your reply. I'm going to try it out. This will help.
