Problem with incremental SQL scheduling in remote location

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone,
I want to schedule a copy plan in Acronis 12.5 on a SQL server to make an incremental copy in a remote location, but acronis does not show me this option, I get the option to make a full copy, but this is not possible because it would create a very large file.
Can someone tell me how I can do this.
Thank you very much.

Hello Fco J G,

Thank you for your posting! As I understand, you would like to create incremental backups of an SQL server to a network share. I will be happy to help you.

To set the correct schema up, please create a new backup plan (it is not possible to edit scheduling for an existing plan). In what to backup choose “entire machine”, in devices select the machine with an SQL agent, activate application-aware backup and choose the remote location as backup destination. After that, click on schedule – Custom scheme. In “full backups” choose monthly and check only one day. In “incremental backups” choose an option that suits you better.

You can check the list of supported backup schemes for SQL backup here (section SQL databases).

I hope I could answer all your questions. If you have any other concerns, please let me know.
