Reboot Linux machine to Acronis Recovery bootable media

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I need to restore a machine inside a new instance on my cloud provider; I can't boot my new instance from CD/usb or other bootable media but I have installed Acronis linux agent and I see the new "virgin" machine on my Acronis management console. When I try to restore the old machine to the new machine Acronis fails automatically mapping the disk from old instance to new.

There is any solution to force reboot my new machine to Acronis Recovery bootable to give me the possibility to prompt and map manually old disk's machine to new disk's machine?

Thanks a lot,

Matteo

Hello Matteo,

I'd suggest trying with Acronis PXE Server - a component that allows booting machines to Acronis bootable media through the network.
