Recover failed on the target machine

Thread needs solution

The target machine installed the Acronis backup agent 12.5 as the client. The  backup&recover plan for the Disk/Volume C was configured from the Acronis web server. But I have one major problem that I would like resolved.

The machine was set up for the daily auto-test on windows 7. Before running each time, the clean environment would be restored. In addition to this, the auto-test required another USB device. I could back up the Volume C successfully with the device attached. But failed to recover.  I noticed that the target machine could be reboot automatically, but failed to launch the Acronis. The process was terminated and reboot into windows again. I thought it was because of the boot sequence setting in BIOS. So I tried to change the boot sequence and even disable the boot from the USB media in BIOS. It still didn't work unless the USB device was removed.

The failure is weird. The device was just presented as a removable disk for reading test data. I paste the error code as below and attached the sysinfo.

Hello nish rfsts,

welcome to the Acronis forum!

As I understand, you cannot boot the PC with Acronis Linux-based bootable media. Please correct me if I am wrong. I will be happy to help you.

To localize the issue, I would suggest you do the following:

  1. Try deactivating Secure boot and activating Legacy support
  2. Use WinPE-based bootable media

If the issue is still there, could you please describe your steps in detail and a photo of the error which you see on the screen while booting.

Thank you
