Recoverying items back into a mounted drive (I think Microsoft calls it a Junction Point)

Thread needs solution

I seem to be having issues with this type of recovery when I restore files back to their original location.  If I select a new location, the restore proceeds correctly.

So I have a drive mounted in my C:\Database folder.  This is a junction point, that leads to another hard drive.

Acronis has no problem backing up the data from this location, but when I go to restore it, I cannot restore to the original location for some reason.

Is this a limitation of Acronis 12.5 (Advanced)?

Hello William,

Is this a regular NTFS mount point or an actual junction? What you describe sounds more like a mount point

Mount points work differently depending on what you select for backup and restore:

Backup mount points option

Restore mount points option

Also, the first thing to check in these cases is whether or not the original location is actually mounted and available
