Restore Series of TIB files to dissimiliar hardware

Thread needs solution

Hi guys

I'm trying to help a party to recover their SAGE ERP production environment that was attacked by Ransomware. I found the Acronis backup that is incremental intact for 14th June.

As the physical server's OS is totally damaged, and windows will not load. We urgently need to restore the backup which is for the entire machine (C:\,D:) drives & insure that the SQL database is accessible.

Please let us know whether restoring such in a virtualized environment is supported.

regards,

Hi,

Your backup can be restored to dissimilar hardware on another physical machine or to a virtual machine - both of these scenarios are supported by Acronis Backup 12.5. For recovery onto physical machine you can use the Acronis Backup bootable media: boot the target machine from it and run the recovery, then apply Universal Restore using corresponding option from the bootable media interface. In case of virtual machine you can use the same method, e.g. prepare a new VM, boot it from bootable media and run the recovery or alternatively you can restore directly as a VM if you have Agent for VMware/Hyper-V available.

Thank you.
