Restore to VMware- not able to select Cluster Datastore nor change target dist size

Thread needs solution

Recovery to VM works fine for us and we can choose the virtual center data center to restore as a target which resolves where best to put the new VM on a target host. What frustrates us at the moment is on the SAN storage side, we cannot select the VM storage cluster which holds all of the LUNs.

We occasionally do large numbers of recovery to VM and if the techs doing the restores all pick same datastore, they can overwhelm the LUN and fill it up.

Ideally, just the selections on the storage side should show the data center's storage cluster and all of the datastores under it. Then we can just pick the storage cluster and let VMware figure out where best to put the new VM's disks.

Last, the selection to change the source and destination disk mapping is nice but I cannot resize the target disk. It's grayed out and seems to be about 30% more size than the source PC (220GB vs about 155gb).

We really could use these features.

Thanks!

Pete
