Setup Acronis Backup advanced 12.5 using public IP for on-premise setup.

Thread needs solution

We have hundred sites and we need to have a backup all servers(sites) to head office(storage). AMS are also located to head office. Branches don't have direct connection to Head Office. what we did is we use the public ip to connect and register agent machine to AMS. The problem is when we run backup it always failed. Did someone try to do the same setup? Need your inputs.

What is the error message you receive on backups' failure?

Please follow Overview -> Activities, select the failed backup operation, click on Show details -> Download log and share this log here with us.

The activity has failed due to a restart of the service.

Looks like the error message that you've quoted and a log that you've shared do not coincide: they illustrate two different situations.

If it is a full log that was not cut, then the issue with the backup destination accessibility. Please try to test the destination accessibility from the Agent that runs backup.

If the log ends with "The activity has failed due to a restart of the service", then please follow troubleshooting steps from the respective KB article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/61650
