Stuck on Starting backup...

Thread needs solution

Hi, 

I just did a new/clean install of Acronis Backup Standard 12.5 and have setup an my first client agent (on Mac Laptop). I was able to create a new backup plan and selected specific files/folders.  The fact that I was able to browse the list of files/folders on the Mac Laptop tells me the Management Server was communicating with the Mac Agent.  Anyhow, now when I click "backup now" i just see "Starting Backup..." in the management console and that's it.  Stuck like that and I see no error/info messages anywhere.  How can I troubleshoot what is going on any why this is stuck?  I only selected about 50 files (~200MB total) for testing so shouldn't take this long.

PS - I setup a second agent on my Windows 10 desktop and that backup works perfectly fine.  So something is going on with the mac laptop agent .... I just don't where to look or how to troubleshoot. Is there a log file? Maybe a firewall on the mac?

Hello BryanD,

The general first place to check would be /Library/Application support/Acronis/

I would try searching for logs in the ServiceProcess  subfolder for backup process logs

Thanks.  I removed the backup plan and re-added and everything just started working so I'm all set.
