Trouble adding ESXi (VCenter) host to management server

Thread needs solution

I am having problems adding the ESXi host to our 12.5 management server.  Is there a requirement to have our VCenter joined to AD?  We are currently using SSO locally (administrator@vsphere.local).

Any guidance is appreciated.  I am not seeing much info on v.12.5.

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you please clarify what kind of issues you're running into and what might be missing in the documentation? There are no specific requirements for login into vCenter, so default local vCenter authentication should work with no problems. Some screen shots illustrating the problems would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

I found another thread that help resolve my issue.  I was trying to deploy the ESXi host from the Management Console, but what worked  was deploying the .OVF files from VCenter and configuring from there.

In other words, I worked from VCenter rather than the Management Console to get it configured, sorry for the confusion,
