Update 3 has no tray icon
On our two Win10 x64 Pro Thinkpads, Update 3 went smoothly. I rebooted both PCs anyway.
The tray icon on both PCs is not present anymore. Is this to be expected?

Hi Lester,
There is a single installation package of Acronis Backup 12.5 and Advanced vs Standard differences are defined only by added licenses (your assumptions are correct).
The tray icon is a part of "Acronis Backup Monitor" component which until Update 3 was installed by default when you initiate remote installation via web console. Now it can be installed only either by running installer locally or by using .mst transform files for example. In either case during update (both remote or local) the Backup Monitor should be preserved (along with tray icon) if it was installed before, so the behavior you see is not normal - we will check the issue with our QA and development teams.
One of the workarounds would be to run the full Acronis Backup 12.5 installer on the machine and edit the list of installed components to first exclude Backup Monitor there (if it's installed but the tray icon is gone), proceed with the installation and after that re-add this component by running the installation once again.
Thank you.

Also run Backup Monitor manually from Start menu -> Acronis -> Backup Monitor.

Updating to build 10130 does cause the Backup Monitor to not start automatically. The problem is that a registry entry is being lost. I fixed it as follows:
1. Open regedit and go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
2. Notice there is no path shown for MmsMonitor.exe
3. Modify the data value for MmsMonitor.exe to be C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrayMonitor\MmsMonitor.exe. This assumes the components were installed to the default location.

Mustang:
Hi. Fixing the registry worked just fine. I rebooted to check, and now both PCs have active Acronis monitoring.
Thanks.

Additional information: we were able to reproduce the issue (internal bug ID: ABR-172452) and scheduled the fix for the nearest hotfix update. This hotfix (so-called Update 3.1) is planned to be released within a month from now.
The root cause is indeed as @Mustang mentioned above - missing Windows registry record in autostart section.
Thank you.

Vasily,
Thank you.
I also noticed another issue with the Backup Monitor. The status waits some time to show OK. Initially, the status shows the Backup Agent is not running. It is because the Acronis Managed Machine Service is now set to start type Automatic (Delayed Start). I changed it to start type Automatic and the tray monitor is now back to normal.
Please let me know if the change to Delayed Start was intentional. Will changing it to Automatic cause any problems?
