Validation plan stuck at 0% and unable to cancel

Thread needs solution

Just created a new validation plan and the activity shows "0% completed - calculating time left"  and no change after several hours. I tried to cancel and getting error:

Hello,

Thank you for your posting. As I understand, the activity cannot be canceled manually.

In order to remove the activity from the management server database, you need to issue special SQL quires
