Weekly Differential Backup fails

Thread needs solution

I'm having issues with differential backups.

I have 4 servers with a similar setup but only one fails.

Config:

  • Full Backup: Last Friday of each month at 08:00 PM
  • Differantial Backup: Friday ar 08:00 PM
  • Incremental backup: Monday to Friday repeat every 3 hour(s) from 07:30 AM until 09:00 PM

How long to keep:

  • Full: 6 Months
  • Differential: 7 weeks
  • Incremental: 14 days

Applications backup: Mircosoft SQL Server

On Friday the diff backup freezes. It stays at 30 percent. I need to kill the agents and any other acronis services on the server to be able to get any backup working again. 

 

This issue is now for a couple of months .....

 

I've tried:

  • Creating a full backup a day before the diff so that the diff isn't that hard to calculate
  • Different time slots and days

Attached a screenshot of the failed task an the log, after i killed the service.

Pleas help with this....

Hi,

Such problems should be investigated with help from our support team. The dumps of hanging service_process.exe process will be required along with system report from the affected server. The issue could be in application processing part, so to localize the issue it makes sense to try performing backup with application backup option disabled in the backup plan.

I tried disabling the application backup, but it did not help.

I will create the dumps and system report.

Can i upload them to this tread ?
