zmqgw.exe crashes

Thread needs solution

Dear Forum,

after updating from build #12.0.3689 to build #12.5.7048 I get the an error each time I shut down the computer.

This directly affects the system stability (although functionality seems ok).

1. What is this .exe?

2. Any simliar observations or Solutions out there?

Thx for any hints, Steve

Hello Steve,

This is a crash of our "ZMQ gateway" process. This process is used for a ZeroMQ message queue to connect the agents etc. to our Management Server (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZeroMQ)

These sorts of things are usually caused by specific conflict in the environment (like another software installed a different version shared library somewhere for example) and requires an investigation.

I would suggest creating a crash dump of the process, collecting the system information from the AMS and then contacting support to get this escalated to the relevant developers.

You can create the dump using these instructions: https://kb.acronis.com/content/27931

The system information can be created by following the instructions here: https://kb.acronis.com/content/58301

Dear Igor,

thanks for your reply. I have done as you requested already before posting here. However, no useful reply from Acronis support until now (Ticket ID 03008835). What to do?

BR
Steve
